Alphonse did not write a bio so the editor is writing.
Alphonse has been a busy man. After graduating from Cathedral he returned home to the Philippines and began a successful career as a shoemaker. The business flopped when his primary customer, Imelda Marcos was ousted in an early morning coup d'etat. Rumors of a lurid affair with Imelda forced Alphonse to return to the states destitute.
Alphonse returned to the U.S. and landed in Little Rock, AK. He became involved in a real estate investment firm with the governor. After the firm went belly up Alphonse's fortune turned against him. At one point Alphonse had no home and the former governor invited him to stay in the Lincoln bedroom. He was ejected after Chelsea was seen the room. Alphonse has not been seen since.
Bill did not write a bio so the editor is writing.
Bill went to Queens College with Reggy. He graduated with a degree in speech pathology. Upon graduating he went to work for UPS as a time management engineer. Some time after that he worked for Deutch Bank and other German type banks doing some type of computer work. He then worked for Reuters spreading leftist propaganda through subliminal messages hidden in computer screens. For three years or so he was roommates with Hags and one years or so with Mike Kerrigan in a three bedroom apt Woodhaven.
Bill has traveled the world. He backpacked through Europe with Mikey K and others and most recently his job has taken him to England and Japan (?). The Japan trip flew him literally around the globe. He has been to Ireland a number of times as well. He has run the Long Island half marathon a few times.
Bill has a lovely wife Dierdre and two boys, Aiden 3, and Conor 5. Bill lives in Baldwin, Long Island.
I graduated in 1986 from Cathedral College with a degree in Philosophy. After deciding not to go to Huntington I was offered a teaching position at Cathedral Prep teaching Latin and English... go figure. In 1992 Bishop Catanello created a business office at Cathedral and appointed me Business Manager of Cathedral. (My office is the former senior lounge... but I need a new pool table.) I continued to teach part time but currently I am no longer teaching.
During the past few years I have helped to create an active alumni association, development office and parents association. I currently sit on the school administration, alumni association, development board, financial board and am the unofficial moderator of the parents board. I have been moderator of the business and editorial staffs of the yearbook for 10 years.
Perhaps the scariest fact is in the list of faculty seniority... I fall only behind Mr. Dilg and Mr. Payne (but I get to sign their paychecks). I am very happy and proud to be a part of Cathedral for so long. Cathedral has gone through many changes but its traditions, values and quality education is as strong as it ever has been.
I have the privilege of working with our classmate and Spiritual Director of Cathedral Rev. Fred Marano. I also get to see other familiar faces very often. In addition to working as a FDNY firefighters Pat Flynn and Bill Oettinger are the lunch ladies at Cathedral. They bring a tremendous spirit to the building.
I am happy to say that I have remained very good friends with other of our esteemed classmates. I have had the honors of serving in Joe Sanges and Greg Hagarty's wedding parties. I was further honored to be Hector Gonzalez's best man.
If you have not had the opportunity to see Cathedral in a while please feel free to stop by. Come see the gym, the new computer lab (which the alumni association just sponsored) and make a visit to the chapel. I also invite you to participate in the various alumni activities and annual appeals.
I can be reached at Cathedral at 718-592-6800 ext. 109
Here's what's happenin' with me lately... nothing exciting just the usual boring stuff! As you know I'm living in Dutchess County near Poughkeepsie in Hopewell Junction. It's about 70 miles north of Queens on the Taconic Parkway. I've been here 5yrs. now and have become the little "home improvement do it yourselfer type of guy!" I currently work for Verizon Communications (formerly NY Telephone, Nynex and Bell Atlantic) in White Plains Westchester County. I've worked in the Bronx, Manhattan and White Plains for them over the last 8yrs. I'm a Field Technician which means I climb poles and yes go into manholes (not the sewer) for a living! I do construction work which means I build the outdoor telephone facilities like putting poles in the ground and running cables through the air. I also do installation and repair of residential and business phone and data circuits including DSL, ISDN, T1 and Centrex. On a more personal note I'm currently dating the lovely and talented and very sexy Mia. She's a caterer---we probably could have hired her for the reunion dinner-- she's a great cook among other things! We met while I was fixing the phone lines on her block in Westchester. We've been together for 5mos. now but know each other 1yr. I never married and have no children that I'm aware of! But who knows... that one drunkin' night in Tijuana may have produced some youngins'!
Some other bits of career info include getting downsized and being forced to retire at age 29 by IBM in the early 90's after 7yrs. service; this was a major disappointment to me and left me very bitter! That's why I'm writing this note to you on a DELL rather than IBM PC because I hope they go under! I also learned about the stock market the hard way. After college I went to work for Painewebber for a year. That was 1987 the year the market crashed. Needless to say I had my Broker's license for only a few weeks before I hit the pavement looking for work! After High-School I went to St. John's and majored in marketing-- a skill I never really used but they say it looks good on a resume so who cares? Well that's it in a nutshell-- hope all is well with you and hope to see you guys soon.

After Cathedral I went to Cathedral College for two years and then to St. Francis College (Brooklyn). I have been working for EPIC Security since 12/86 and I am now the Operations Manager. I ran into Brian Dowd at the Baptism of my ex's nephew a few years ago. I had lost touch with everybody from High School.
I got married in June of 1987, separated in Sept. 2001 and divorced Feb. 2002. I have a 10 year old daughter.

Pat did not write a bio so the editor is writing.
After Cathedral Pat took up marketing at CW Post College. After school he worked for a bank (Bank of America??) for a few years. Then Pat his current job with the FDNY. Pat works in the Myrtle Turtles firehouse in Glendale, Queens with Billy Oettinger "Otto" (class of '80) and Danny Carrigan (class of '78). Pat is good with his hose.
Currently Pat and Otto also run the kitchen at Cathedral. If you think the priest scandal is bad for vocations you should see what Pat serves the kids...
In the late 80's Pat was roommates with Mike Sardo (class of '84) and Hags in a house in Middle Village.
Pat is married to the lovely Marie and they have one child Erin, 1, and they are expecting another in September. They live in Blauvelt, NY (Rockland County).

After graduating from Cathedral, I attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point for one year. That was about as much of it as I could take. After that, I transferred to Manhattan College and graduated with a B.S. in psychology. Given how useful that degree was, I decided to go to law school. I graduated in 1988 from the University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, I was admitted to the NY Bar and went to work for a large corporate law firm in Manhattan for two years.
During that time, in June 1990, I got married to a beautiful and wonderful Queens girl (both place of residence and college) -- Lisa Rafanelli. The celebrant at our wedding was Fr. George Stack and Lou was my best man -- no one else would do it. Lisa and I will be celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary this year. We were blessed last year (May 21, 2001 to be exact) with the birth of our daughter -- Isabella Eve. She's been an incredible joy and, as if I needed an excuse to leave work at night, she certainly is a good one.
Back to my professional life. After my two years at a law firm, I joined the Manhattan DA's Office and was there for three years. I left the DA's Office and joined the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York in 1994. During my stint at the US Attorney's Office, I had the pleasure of working with Greg on a substantial organized crime case. Also during that time, I traveled to Guatemala on a Fulbright Fellowship. Lou came to visit me for four days and I think he's still talking about how he will never leave the USA again.
In 1999, I left government and joined the firm of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw. Several months ago, I was made a partner and will probably be here for the foreseeable future.

After cathedral I went to Baruch college where I got my BBA in Accounting. I worked for Coopers and Lybrand for three years and got certified before getting my current job at the FBI where I have worked for twelve years.
After college I roomed with Bill, Mikey K, and Paddy-Oh at various points. We had a lot of fun. (No need to expand here..) In 1988 I managed to get some time off to backpack through Europe. Work has brought me all over the country and to Sicily and for three weeks to Dar Salaam, Tanzania. (Don't go there... nice people but bad food, bad water and people smell like ass).
I am married for eight years to Annie and have three kids Emily, 6, Patrick, 4, and Annemarie, 2.
Work is a lot of fun and has brought me in contact with Hector who was the prosecutor on a large mob case I was involved with. One case of note that I had the good fortune of being involved with was the John Gotti case. I am also on the New York SWAT team which has brought some interesting situations

In order to avoid the wrath of the reunion committees unflattering roast I hereby submit the following bio of Paul Hernandez Class of '82. After the Cathedral experience finally ended I headed north to SUNY Cortland where I left with a BA (major in Politcal Science) and a commission as a 2nd LT in the Infantry serving in the National Guard. In 1989 I was sworn in as a police officer with the Suffolk County Police Dept. In 1992 I left NYC and moved to the hamlet of Islip in Suffolk County. In 1996 I left the Nat. Guard as a captain and took on the new role of husband, eloping with Caroline, my wife, to the isle of Jamaica (the country, not jamaica queens) and exchanging vows on a sun drenched white sandy beach.
In 1999 the stork arrived with my first child, Alyssa Christine, who is now 3 years old and very much in control of the household. In the summer of 2001, my son and heir apparant, Brian Paul arrived on scene. Currently I work in the 1st Precinct SCPD, on the nefarious midnights, while my wife works part time as a chiropractor in the Bayshore area.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to fly in from California. Here is an update from the past 20 years.
After graduating from Cathedral Prep, Harry Keiley went on to earn a BA in history from St. Joseph's College. (1986)
Soon after graduating from Saint Joseph's, Harry moved to southern California, where he has resided for the past 15 years (Santa Monica)
In 1996, Harry earned a masters degree from Loyola Marymount University.
In 2001, Harry earned his second masters degree in educational leadership from Cal State Northridge.
From 1987-1991 Harry worked as a social studies teacher at John Adams Middle School in Santa Monica.
From 1992-2000 Harry taught 12th grade U.S. government at Malibu High School.
Throughout his career, Harry has been actively involved in teacher union work.
He has served at the local, state and national level.
At the local level, Harry has served as a building representative, executive board member and in 2000, he was elected president of Santa Monica Malibu Classroom Teachers Association/CTA/NEA
In addition to his work as president of Santa Monica Malibu CTA, Harry was elected as a state representative to the California Teachers Association. In this capacity, he serves on the CTA Political Action Committee and the Financing Public Education Committtee.
For the past 4 years Harry has served as a delegate to the annual National Education Conference held each July.
Harry is actively involved in local politics, community service and social justice issues; including the living wage campaigns and other union organizing efforts in santa monica.
Harry is single and enjoys the "pace" of southern California

Attended Cooper Union and received my BEEE. Went on to various small companies, experiencing everything from extremely good companies to companies I actually would wish upon my worst enemy. Last guy in usually meant first guy out when things took a downturn, so I learned to do some private consulting between fulltime jobs. In fact, I started out at AIP (American Institute of Physics) as a consultant, and when their consulting budget ran out, was offered a fulltime job, where I've been ever since, which'll be 4yrs this July. One benefit from bouncing around from company to company was experiencing this wide spectrum of company attitudes, and knowing the difference, which is something that, if given the choice/opportunity to go back and do things differently, I'd change absolutely nothing.

Still living in Maspeth, my old stomping grounds, looking for new digs in the Maspeth or Middle Village area if possible. Eventually hoping to find someplace either way up in New England (hey, "Vermont carry"!), or in the upper midwest under the Big Sky(tm).
Hobbies include but are not limited to (and in no particular order): cars, computers/tek, electronics, robotics, audio, law, medicine, racing, RC models, astronomy, chemistry, rocks/lapidary, paranormal phenomena, music, CB, and anything else that amuses me.
Well, it's been about 20 years since I have spoken to or seen most of you. It certainly has been a fulfilling and interesting time. Anyway, here goes at what I've been up to:
After Cathedral, I made a last minute choice to leave NYC and went to Albany State University. I'm sure St. John's is a better university for it. While at Albany I received my BS in Accounting, in between all-night sessions of drinking, philandering and general hell-making. Upon graduation, I moved back to my mother's house, which lasted all of 1 month, and then went on to get my own pad in Woodside. I went to work for Ernst & Young, where miraculously I lasted 8 years. During that time, I honed my already exceptional abilities at drinking, philandering and general hell-making. I also somehow managed to get my CPA and pick up an MBA from NYU during that period. During that period I met my lovely wife Rose, which by the way should I run into any of you in the future I will deny to the death that my initial interests in her were merely of a physical nature. In any case, she has made the last 12 years of my life better than I could have ever hoped for. After leaving Ernst & Young in 1994, I went to work for PolyGram International, at the time the world's largest music company. I initially headed their North American audit operations and later went on to be the CFO of Def Jam Records, the greatest hip-hop music company in the world. And yes, during that time I did see the light and convert my somewhat parochial music tastes as a white boy from Queens. Despite my musical tastes, or lack thereof, during this time my wife decided to make me an honest man. She also persuaded me to give up drinking, philandering and general hell-making. Whoa is me! She also agreed to give up her career as a social worker (a/k/a she became an actress) and head west to Los Angeles. I spent the next 3 years working for an investment bank managing their investments in the music business. I now live in a great house in the Hollywood Hills, living the LA lifestyle. I drive a Porsche, eat at Spago's and wear only black. I work as CFO of a publicly traded marketing company. By the way, anyone that wants a stock tip should put their life savings in EMAK. I can't guarantee profits, but be assured that you will be contributing to my retirement fund. Although I don't have kids yet, unless you count my countless animals, my wife has finally persuaded me that the time has come. More to follow on that...
That pretty much sums up my life since Cathedral. I truly wish I could join all of you this weekend, but I hope you understand that 3000 miles makes it somewhat difficult. I would love to hear from any and all of you. I can always be reached at larry_madden@emak.com.
Best wishes.

Since Cathedral:
I went to Columbia University for 6 years and earned a BS and MS in Nuclear Engineering. I worked briefly for New York Power Authority from 1987-1988 while finishing up school. There I did radiation dose assessments for NYPA's two power plant and set up a network computer system for the Radiological Department.
After I got my MS, I moved to Albany NY in search of better things and to get out of the city. I started work and am still here at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, designer of the finest reactor cores in the US Navy (ok, at least the only ones for submarines). I currently work as a Chemical Engineer, examining and minimizing crud, or to put it simply, radioactive rust, in reactors. I have fun running experiments and inspecting ships, but most of my work deals with programming, data review and (ugh) writing reports. Paul Hernandez was my only contact with school other than the annual reunions I try to make.
I met my wife, Anne-Marie, just after leaving college in 1989 in NYC, but we did not get married until June 1999. We moved into a large house and are now trying to fill it. Anne-Marie telecommutes and works as a policy analyst with emphasis on medical policies.
My past times are gaming (Diplomacy) and gardening (including landscaping and construction, like sheds, decks, porches, stone and block walls, and shoveling a lot of dirt).

College:
As you may or may not be aware (or care),
I attended Hunter College
and graduated with a BA in Economics issued in February 1988.
I ended up bouncing between majors for a while
(physics to computers to physics to accounting to economics)
and working a fairly intense part time job that slowed my progress to a crawl.
The only good thing I ended up getting out of college was my wife
- details to follow.
Career:
After graduation, I started work at Price Waterhouse.
The constant grind and strict routines ended up forcing me out
after a year and a half,
but it did expose me to what would end up being my life's work - computers.
From PW I moved to The Equitable,
working a split job (50% financial, 50% computers) in the Controllers' Office.
It was there that I realized that I didn't have the patience
to deal with the intricacies and general nonsense of the financial world,
so I decided to move once again to a job that was 100% computer related.
I became an IT support person and network administrator
with Nielsen Media Research (the TV ratings people).
Once again the dirty fingers of Corporate America reached down
and turned Nielsen from a fun and creative place to a corporate clone
of its parent company - Dun and Bradstreet.
It was time to move on again...
I left the for-profit world behind and started a stint as Wide Area Network Coordinator for the New York Public Library. When my time was done there, I briefly was with the Childrens Television Workshop, and then moved to become the one and only member of the computer department at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (a truly beautiful place if you've never visited). While at BBG, I tried to start my own computer consulting business, but the demands of building a client base while trying to have a sane family life was impossible. I ended up leaving BBG after modernizing their entire IT operation to work for a very small consulting company based in Manhattan, Array Technologies. I probably learned the most at Array, but the constant on-the-run life of a consultant, particularly after the events of September 11, 2001 took their toll on my blood pressure. So...
Now I am working as the Coordinator of IT for The Bard Graduate Center on the Upper West Side. I've been here since October and believe that I finally found a long-term home. During my travels, I earned technical certifications from Novell, Microsoft and Dell.
Personal and Family:
I met my wife, Rosa Maria in an economics class at Hunter College,
and we were married May 13, 1989.
We lived for a while in Rego Park,
but moved to Bay Ridge in Brooklyn about 10 years ago.
I have 2 beautiful children who have become the most important part of my life.
My daughter, Maria Luisa (named after my mother and mother-in-law)
was born May 30th, 1990 and is in the 6th Grade at St. Ephrem's School
in Bay Ridge.
My son Thomas was born February 4th 1992
and is in the 4th Grade at St. E's.
They are the 2 best kids anyone could ask for,
and I try to stay involved in all aspects of their lives.
As a family, we like to travel (mostly long car trips) and have visited many nice spots in the Northeast. We are also as a group very into auto racing, making a yearly pilgrimage to Nazareth Speedway in Pennsylvania to watch the Indy cars race. We've managed to rub elbows with some of the best known racing drivers in the world (I have a great picture of the kids with Mario Andretti!). My son's most prized possession is a photo of himself with Juan Montoya - the 1999 CART Champion, 2000 Indianapolis 500 winner, and current driver for the BMW-Williams Formula One Grand Prix team.
We still live in Bay Ridge and share our house with one parakeet and 6 zebra finches (which we occasionally breed as a family hobby).
I tried to stay in touch with some of the guys through college - mostly Martinkat, Eugene, and Pete Rufolo. The demands of college, work and a young and growing family eventually pulled me out of touch with them. My life has become a non-stop parade of basketball games, softball games, bike riding and general family stuff, and I wouldn't change any of it. Of course there are some regrets and things that I would have done differently, but on the whole I can't complain.
The easiest was to reach me is by e-mail, either mis@bgc.bard.edu or joemis@directvinternet.com

To my brothers from the class of 1982,
I cannot believe that it has been 20 years since high school. Back then, I did not believe everyone about how fast it would go by. Now I sit back and notice that it did fly by. And while sitting back, I am forced to take stock of my accomplishments during that time. So here they are...
I went to Queens College with Billy Broderick as my only friend. Going from a school of 150 to a school of 18,000. But that was ok, because he hung out with some pretty cool college girls. Al Soto, my high school cohort, went to Baruch, so I rarely saw him. I also lost touch with two of my closest buddies, Mike Pastore and Mike Kerrigan, whom I here are still MIA. I had also bonded with the boys from the basketball team, but that wore off after the season ended. I did not do too hot At Queens College. I actually hated it. I transferred to Five Towns College on Long Island. It was a music school and I ended up as Salutatorian. Got my A.A.S. Got a job in the accounting dept at KLM airlines at JFK. Went back to Queens College at night to get my B.S. in Sociology. Traveled the world while working for KLM (Amsterdam, Paris, Helsinki, Honolulu, Phoenix, Tahiti, and Bora Bora).
Met my wife, Catherine (everyone calls her Katie) while in Virginia Beach. We got married and decided to move to Florida. We love it here. It was a crapshoot and we got lucky. The cost of living is much less, the quality of life is much higher, but good paying jobs are hard to come by. I am now a Windows 2000 MCSE (Certified Engineer), a Cisco CCNA, and Network Manager for Palm Coast Data. PCD is a magazine fulfillment firm that handles many national publications, most notably, Rolling Stone, Smithsonian, and my favorite, Maxim. Those little cards that always fall out of magazines... pain in the ass... if the address says Palm Coast, Florida, then we handle it. Do everything from handling the customer service phones for them, data entry for them, to handling sending out the invoices and renewals and handling all of their online subscriptions.
I have stayed n touch with Al Soto. He has also moved to Florida (Miami Beach) to be closer to his folks. We visit each other regularly. I have two sons, Nicholas (7) and Nathan (4). They are awesome. It has been pure joy watching them grow... and beating the hell out of each other. They call Al, Uncle Al. It is truly awesome.
I have always been in a rock band or two since high school. Lost all of my hair, but that did not hold me back. Cut a couple of cd's (you can listen online at www.rainlord.com), opened up for some major acts, including Joan Jett, .38 Special, Survivor, The Byrds, Bad Company, Steppenwolf, Edgar Winter, and Blue Oyster Cult. Traveled to Upstate NY and to Laconia, NH. That was the extent of our touring. Got some local radio play, but that's about it. That band (RainLord) has since died down and I still play at local bars and clubs with a rock trio and an acoustic duo. Can't get it out of my system I guess.
That's pretty much it. I do wish I could be there to shoot the shit with all of you. To do some serious catching up and to ask that question that is bound to come up... why didn't we stay in touch?
If any of you are ever down this way (I am 90 miles from Disney), drop me a line or email and we'll hook up. I would live to here from all of you, so here is my email address: Monsanto.reg@palmcoastd.com
Take care and God bless...

I really hate talking about myself, so I am going to make this update succinct. After graduating from Cathedral, I decided to go to Fordham University in the beautiful Bronx, despite warnings from faculty at Cathedral that the Jesuits would corrupt me. As it turns out, I was indeed seriously corrupted by the Jesuits: they actually taught me to think for myself! Although I was planning to major in psychology when I went to college, I had a crisis of conscience by the end of my sophomore year, and chose to switch my major to something completely impractical -- namely, philosophy.
Armed with this extremely useful degree, I wound up teaching religion at the Academy of Mount St. Ursula in the Bronx and Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers for the next five years. I also decided to get a Master's in Religious Studies from the Institute for Religious Studies at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers, so that I would know something about the Catholic Theology that I was teaching to students. Although I was extremely happy teaching high school students, fate intervened in my life and I was compelled to consider returning to school to pursue a higher degree. So, I gave away all my possessions (a truly liberating experience!) and went to the Catholic University of Belgium, where I had done a junior year abroad, and got a Ph.D. in Philosophy.
When I returned to New York in 1995, I discovered, much to my surprise, that there were not a lot of employment opportunities for guys with doctorates in Philosophy. Fortunately, I had some experience running service programs, so I managed to land a temporary position as Director of Service-Learning at Molloy College in Rockville Centre. In 1997 a position opened up in the Philosophy Department and I was offered the opportunity to become a professor of philosophy as well as to oversee the college's service-learning and international education programs. Although I was not ecstatic about the prospect of spending the rest of my life on god-forsaken Long Island, I agreed to take the job, because I was excited about the eclectic nature of the position.
So here I am: a middle-aged academic, living in suburban hell, trying to the best of my abilities to get college students to recognize the majesty and beauty of rational discourse. I am also married to a wonderful woman that I met at Fordham and have a delightful son, so, all in all, the past twenty years have not turned out too badly. My only further ambition is to have a beatific vision by the time I am fifty.

I will be married 15 years this year, I have a 6 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. After I left Cathedral I came out to Colorado for college (CSU) and did that on and off for about 8 years. In-between, I lived in California briefly (near Mike V's college) and traveled the US by bus twice. After I finally got my BS in biology, I worked in drug discover research for Pfizer in Connecticut for 3 years. I then moved down to Brooklyn for another 3 years after that to take care of some family issues. I worked construction and as a driver while back in NY. I have now been in Colorado again for almost 6 years. I do a bit of technical writing coupled with drug delivery / pharmaceutical research.
Drop me a line when you get this. Hope all is well with you. Mike Vekassy is a main source of info for me so I know some of what's going on with you and others.
Time to actually work again, I'll talk to you soon. Frank

After graduating Cathedral, Al went to Baruch College (CUNY) with Greg Hagarty. After graduating Al lived in NJ for some time running a gigilo operation. After the NJ State Troopers got on his case Al fled to Florida and is now on the lam running a movie studio producing porno movies. Good move Al!!!
The above telephone and contact numbers are correct for Al. Everything else is wishful thinking.
After graduating from Cathedral, I developed what would be a long relationship with Fordham. I finished my degree in December of 85, after having majored in history. (My roommate used to tell me as a History major I had a past, but no future. He became an accountant who hated accounting.) That January I started teaching history, at Fordham Prep. I grew a beard the following year because I was tired of certain students in the halls, mistaking me for being a student. After being informed by a Jesuit teacher by the name of Fr. O' Malley (a bit more irreverant a character than the one played by der Bingle) that it made me look Mephistotelian, I shaved it. (Fr. O'Malley also was an actor who appeared in the movie The Exorcist, so I really took his comment to heart.)
While I was teaching, I also studied History towards a Masters Degree, which I received in '89. After leaving Fordham Prep, I taught in the NYC system, spending one year at an Intermediate School in Ridgewood, Queens, where one of my students used to refer to me, inadvertently, but without ability to be reformed, Mr. Stravolta. I then taught History at Cardozo High School, from 1991-1997. I mixed that up by doing some songwriting and performing. Arista records heard one of my demos and passed, (probably in order to sign what's his name: Puffy Diddy or is it Manly Puff, I can't keep his names straight.)
In 1996, I decided to continue my education, by studying Law at Fordham Law, in the evenings. I took a leave of absence from Law School for a year and then just finished my degree in the Summer of 2001. I finished up my credits by studying international law, in London, which was a great time. So right now I'm getting ready to take the Bar Exam. The study of Law has been a personal Vietnam. It never seems to end and I never found a way to extricate myself from it with the proper dignity.
After all is said and done, I will probably stay in teaching. It's a lot more fun than the law. I have been teaching at Roslyn High School, since '97.
Anyway, that's about it. No marriage yet. No kids yet. But all is well.
After leaving Cathedral, I spent a year at Baruch before going on to St. Joseph's College in Mountain View, California, where I earned a BA in Behavioral Science in 1986. During my time at St. Joseph's, I was considered to be a seminarian of the Archdiocese of Denver. I came back to New York after graduation and worked at Bankers Trust Company for two years before joining The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. Since joining Guardian in 1988, I have held three very diverse posts. I am currently the manager of its Treasury Operations department.
I graduated with an MBA from Adelphi University in 1990. Since then, I have obtained post-Masters' professional certificates in Financial Management from Pace University, and in Economics from St. John's (where I got to spend a summer semester in London). A Financial Systems Analyst for 10 of my 14 years at Guardian, I got most of my technical training at NYU's School of Continuing & Professional Studies. I am an Associate in Insurance Accounting & Finance of the Insurance Institute of America, a Fellow of the Life Management Institute, and a Chartered Life Underwriter.
I am an active member of the Knights of Columbus, currently serving as the Grand Knight of Bishop Raymond A. Kearney Council in Jackson Heights. I have absolutely no social life!

I only made minor corrections when they jumped out at me,
so no doubt I missed some.
